About The Role
The Graphic Designer at Accelint within the Navy Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) division will play a vital role in creating high-quality visual content for digital training products. This role involves designing and implementing engaging 2D graphics, motion graphics, and UI elements for desktop and tablet-based applications based in Captivate and the Unity game engine. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Instructional Systems Designers, Software Engineers, 3D Artists, and Tech Leads to develop, test, and deploy innovative training solutions that meet client needs and adhere to brand standards. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for translating conceptual ideas into compelling visual assets, ensuring seamless integration into software platforms, and maintaining a cohesive user experience. Regular workshops with the Creative Director and Creative Operations team will be essential to align on design strategies, gather feedback, and iterate on designs. The role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to produce impactful digital training content that supports mission readiness and operational excellence.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects
- Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Balsamiq (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in graphic design, motion graphics, branding, and UI design
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineers and instructional designers
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance
- Design and produce high-fidelity 2D graphics for digital training applications
- Create motion graphics and animations to enhance user engagement and understanding
- Design user interfaces for desktop and tablet-based platforms, ensuring usability and aesthetic consistency
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with software engineers and stakeholders
- Illustrate design concepts through mockups and prototypes for stakeholder review
- Provide ongoing feedback to software engineers during the implementation process to ensure design fidelity
- Participate in weekly workshops with the Creative Director and Creative Operations team to maintain cohesive design standards
- Apply design thinking and problem-solving techniques to develop innovative solutions where pathways are unclear
- Perform additional duties related to digital product development and design as assigned
