About The Role

The Contractor – Graphic Designer plays a vital role in supporting Papa John’s marketing efforts by creating compelling, on-brand visual assets that resonate with the target audience. This position requires a creative and detail-oriented professional with a strong command of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma. The primary focus is on developing engaging email creative assets that align with marketing campaigns and brand standards. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of creative projects, including static and animated content, to elevate the visual storytelling of Papa John’s offerings. As capacity allows, the designer may also support broader creative initiatives, assisting with various digital and print assets to meet evolving marketing needs.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of professional graphic design experience or equivalent agency/in-house experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma
  • Experience designing email creative assets
  • Familiarity with GIF creation, motion graphics, or animated content preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating design concepts and decisions
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and lay out Papa John’s email creative assets that align with marketing campaigns and brand standards
  • Apply creative storytelling techniques to enhance clarity, engagement, and visual impact of marketing materials
  • Effectively communicate design concepts and decisions to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Create GIFs, motion graphics, and other dynamic elements to enhance food imagery and promotional content
  • Maintain consistency with brand guidelines across all creative outputs
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to brainstorm and execute innovative visual solutions
  • Support additional creative projects as capacity allows, including digital and print assets
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into design work
