The Graphic Designer will contribute creative, artistic, and modern designs to a variety of projects across functions such as Learning and Development, Training and Delivery, Communications, Change Management, and others. Within the Learning and Development and Communications functions, the Graphic Designer will design, develop, and deliver visual solutions across multiple modalities to support technical training curricula and associated communication initiatives. The Graphic Designer will bring critical thinking and artistic skills to the engagement to consult on the look and feel of programs, maintaining brand integrity and innovations in the design and development process. This role reports to the Creative Manager of Training and Performance and will work in close collaboration with Senior Instructional Designers and other content developers. This role will support a wide range of deliverables on a daily basis for multiple clients across various specialties.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver visual solutions per statements of work – based on best-in-class graphic design principles – that ensure creative, artistic, and modern design outcomes align with stakeholder needs and branding identity and standards.
- Design and develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs.
- To support all instructional and communications materials, develop an understanding of technical and business needs which leverage core equipment, systems, and standard processes.
- Engage in collaboration with subject matter experts, instructional designers, trainers, and cross-functional team members throughout the design and development processes.
- Create a variety of digital and print materials including, but not limited to, infographics, brochures, presentations, videos, reports, logos, etc.
- Create compositions for design solutions, present concepts, and discuss and explain approach/solutions during live calls with clients.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail, including but not limited to the foundations of effective graphic design, as well as communication, and implementation of internal and external stakeholder feedback.
- Deliver tasks from design brief through to implementation and assist in creative direction.
- Represent the evolving discipline of graphic design and stay current on the latest standards, changes, and trends in the design field.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline preferred
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer
- Hands-on experience with graphic design and motion graphics / video editing tools such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Digital Asset Library Systems, Vyond (preferred), Animator (preferred), Audition (preferred), and Premiere Pro (preferred)
- Strong graphic design skills, with a good understanding of typography, brand guidelines, curriculum/program consistency, intuitive layouts, and palette development
- Excellent understanding of user-experience design with a strong ability to recognize and predict use-cases and user interaction
- Ability to create graphics and collateral from scratch in Adobe Creative Suite applications, following specific branding and design guidelines
- High attention to detail in design aesthetics
- Proven ability to deliver high quality designs; with this being the case, an ability to show relevant work examples/ portfolio
- Ability to follow document control standards and processes and maintain an organized file structure and media library
- Excellent communication skills enabling direct collaboration with customers at all levels of an organization
