About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Graphic Designer to support the Wadata - Niger Development Food Security Activity (DFSA) project. This is a short-term technical assistance position, primarily remote, with an estimated period of support from August 6 to August 22, 2025. The successful candidate will work closely with the Strategic Learning Lead and local Wadata staff to develop and produce high-quality visual communication products that facilitate knowledge sharing and learning. The main responsibilities include designing and editing a variety of materials such as case studies, success stories, technical briefs, reports, infographics, banners, posters, and short videos, all aligned with project branding and cultural sensitivities. The role aims to enhance the visibility and impact of Wadata’s achievements and lessons learned, supporting the project’s end-of-activity dissemination efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, user experience design, or related field.
  • Minimum of four years of professional experience in graphic design, visual marketing, data visualization, or related disciplines.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in illustrations, graphics, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and CapCut or similar video editing tools.
  • Excellent eye for design aesthetics and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Ability to work methodically, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of cultural sensitivities and ability to convey messages appropriately across diverse audiences.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Wadata team to develop, design, and edit knowledge-sharing products such as case studies, success stories, technical briefs, reports, and learning documents.
  • Create visually engaging graphic elements for short videos, banners, posters, brochures, and infographics for various dissemination events and platforms.
  • Ensure all materials adhere to client branding guidelines and maintain consistency in visual identity.
  • Design and produce communication materials for capitalization, knowledge sharing, and learning events, including press conferences and stakeholder meetings.
  • Deliver high-quality products in both English and French, as required.
  • Support the development of visual content that effectively communicates project successes, lessons learned, and promising approaches to diverse audiences.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to incorporate feedback and ensure timely delivery of all design outputs.
