Global People & HR Manager

APPLY

Swivelpole™ is an established international company providing patented lowering pole systems that improve safety and efficiency for the maintenance of lighting, CCTV, and other pole-mounted equipment on industrial sites. Our solutions are trusted across the oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, and heavy industrial sectors throughout Australia, North America and most recently, Europe and the UK.

As we continue to grow across regions, we are formalising and strengthening our internal people operations. This role is a key step in building the structure and consistency required to support our globally operating workforce.

The Global People & HR Manager will stabilise and own core people operations, HR systems and governance across the business. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on execution, clarity and practical ownership. It is not a strategic HR Director position.

While there is an initial focus on strengthening regional foundations where required, the majority of ongoing activity will align to Australia, where most of our employees are based.

Location: The working location of this role is flexible across Australia, the Netherlands or the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be accountable for:

  • Core HR Operations
  • HR cycles, planning, activities & reporting
  • People performance, capability & development
  • Health, safety, wellbeing & risk (HR governance lens)
  • Regional HR oversight & compliance
  • Development and operation of a HR framework

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a hands-on People & HR operator who is comfortable owning people operations end-to-end in a lean, growing and globally operating organisation.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a practical People Operations, HR Operations or HR Generalist role
  • Experience supporting managers with real, day-to-day people matters and operational HR issues
  • Experience working across multiple regions or legal entities
  • Experience implementing and owning HR systems (Rippling, HiBob, Bamboo or similar)
  • Experience coordinating with external payroll providers, advisors and regional specialists
  • The ability to operate independently and make sound, pragmatic decisions

You are:

  • Practical and outcomes-focused
  • Comfortable working in evolving environments with shifting priorities
  • Confident in your HR voice when required, while remaining balanced and measured
  • Detail-oriented without becoming bureaucratic
  • Able to balance people considerations with organisational needs
  • Comfortable working flexibly across time zones when required, while maintaining sustainable working practices

Exposure to Dutch, US or Canadian employment contexts, as well as Australian employment environments, will be highly regarded. Experience in a scale-up or SME environment is preferred over purely corporate HR structures.

Why Join Swivelpole™?

Swivelpole™ operates in challenging industrial environments where reliability, clarity and practical execution matter. Our patented solution improves safety and efficiency across oil & gas, energy and heavy industrial sectors globally.

As we continue to scale internationally, we are strengthening our internal foundations to match the quality of our product and operations.

This role offers:

  • Direct reporting lines to the Group General Manager and Group Operations Manager
  • A genuine mandate to build, stabilise and own the People & HR function
  • Visibility across a global business operating in Australia, North America and Europe
  • The opportunity to introduce structure and clarity at a pivotal stage of growth
  • A competitive salary package aligned to experience and location

This is not a layered corporate environment. It is a lean, global business where judgement, ownership and execution matter. We are excited to partner with the right person to shape and grow this function in a way that supports our people and the business long term.
