At Uniken, we’re not just securing digital interactions - we’re unlocking opportunities. We’re a team of bold thinkers, agile builders, and passionate collaborators who place identity at the core of digital interactions. We embrace change, do the right thing, and work with purpose. Our culture is global, inclusive, and relentlessly innovative. If you’re ready to shape the future of trust, join us - and build a world where anything is possible.

The Role

We’re looking for a Global Head of People to join our executive team and help shape the next stage of our growth. We are a global business with 100 employees via our entities in the UK, US, India and Spain, and EOR partners. We’re now expanding our European footprint as we build the foundations for scale. While core infrastructure is in place (including BambooHR, Deel and key policies), we remain early in our journey, with significant opportunity to elevate and modernise how we operate globally. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in scale-up environments and knows how to build while running.

As a true executive partner to the CEO, you will influence, constructively challenge and guide senior leaders to make the right people decisions for long-term success. You will strengthen leadership capability and executive effectiveness, shape the organisation as we grow across Europe and beyond, and build a high-performing global People function. You’ll ensure we attract, hire and retain exceptional talent across all regions, while creating cohesion and collaboration across a distributed, multi-entity business.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Executive & Leadership Partnership

    • Partner with the CEO to develop leadership capability across the organisation
    • Coach and support senior leaders to build high-performing, aligned teams
    • Strengthen executive team cohesion and collaboration
    • Act as a trusted advisor, confident at providing clear, evidence-based challenge where needed
Talent & Growth

    • Work with the CEO and Talent Lead to define and deliver a high-impact hiring strategy
    • Ensure we attract and hire exceptional talent across markets
    • Embed strong workforce planning and succession thinking
    • Elevate employer brand and candidate experience globally
Building the People Function

    • Lead and develop a growing People team
    • Build scalable frameworks across performance, reward, engagement and development
    • Strengthen global compliance across entities and EOR arrangements
    • Evolve and optimise BambooHR and Deel infrastructure
AI, Automation & Smart Infrastructure

    • Leverage AI and automation to streamline People operations and reduce manual overhead
    • Build systems and workflows that enable the People team to focus on impact, insight and value, not administration
    • Identify opportunities to use technology to enhance hiring, performance insights, employee experience and decision-making
    • Ensure data integrity and analytics underpin strategic workforce decisions
What We’re Looking For

    • Proven experience as a Head of People / People Director in a global start-up or scale-up environment (ideally through fundraising stages)
    • Experience leading and developing Global People teams
    • Strong exposure to multi-entity, international operations (Spain and UK experience essential)
    • Deep understanding of scaling organisations and building infrastructure from early foundations
    • Strong commercial acumen and comfort working at executive level
    • A progressive mindset around technology, AI and automation within People functions
    • Experience increasing leadership effectiveness, engagement scores or performance outcomes through structured development initiatives
    • Ability to define what “high performance” means in a scaling organisation and implement the systems and behaviours to support it
Location: Barcelona (Hybrid, remote-first, with at least 1 day per week in the office)
