Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Functional Tester to join our team on a 3‑month contract. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of software deliverables across the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute functional testing, while driving continuous improvements in testing practices and methodologies.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Participate in project initiation, understand requirements, assist in test estimation, and contribute to test strategy and test planning.
- Allocate and monitor testing tasks, coordinate and manage test schedules.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to set up test environments, prepare test beds and test data.
- Review and inspect test deliverables, providing actionable feedback to the team.
- Execute functional and UAT tests, track and monitor defects to closure, and produce test metrics and reports (DSR/WSR) for stakeholders.
- Drive innovative testing approaches to meet project goals without compromising quality, proactively identify risks and mitigation plans.
- Suggest improvements in testing practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure coordination with interfacing systems and support cross‑functional collaboration.
- Comply with organizational processes and maintain constructive working relationships.
🧰 Required Skills & Experience
- Strong technical knowledge in functional system testing and UAT.
- Hands‑on experience with Selenium, BDD frameworks, and Cucumber.
- Knowledge of API testing tools (SoapUI, Postman, REST) and framework design.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile (Scrum, SAFe) methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Experience with test management tools (JIRA, ALM, Confluence) and Junit.
- Exposure to performance testing, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and designing workload models.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and excellent communication and teamwork.

- Experience with low-code development platforms or BPM tools.
- Previous exposure to enterprise‑scale testing environments and test automation strategies.
