Role

Fullstack AI Web Developer – Unpaid Internship

Location: Sweden (Remote)

Duration: 4 to 6 months

Project: DAWN (Decentralised Autonomous Workforce Network)

About the Project

DAWN is an early stage HR tech application that combines Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain to manage the full employee lifecycle.

We are currently in the Minimum Viable Product stage. The project is moving fast, with a focus on building core features, testing with users, and improving quickly through short Agile sprints using the Scrum methodology.

Our aim is to offer a modern, fair, and transparent alternative to outdated HR systems driven by automation, intelligent workflows, and secure data ownership.

💼 Internship Overview

This is a hands-on internship for individuals who want to work on meaningful real-world problems using modern web technologies. You will be part of a small, focused team working on high-impact features for a product that is being built from scratch.

We are looking for motivated fullstack developers who want to apply their skills while gaining experience in areas like large language models, voice-based AI, and blockchain integrations. You will be contributing to the product, not just shadowing.

🎯 What You Will Work On

• Building frontend components using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Developing scalable backend APIs using Node.js, Express, or NestJS
• Integrating AI models for intelligent interviews, scoring, and user feedback
• Working with voice processing APIs for real-time audio interaction
• Implementing secure features like verifiable credentials using blockchain tools
• Participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies including planning, daily standups, and reviews
• Collaborating closely with designers, developers, and product leads

🧠 Who You Are

• Comfortable with JavaScript and TypeScript on both frontend and backend
• Experienced with or interested in React, Next.js, Node.js, or similar frameworks
• Curious about AI tools such as OpenAI or LangChain
• Interested in exploring blockchain beyond crypto, especially for decentralized identity or smart contracts
• Eager to explore and work with technologies like:
• LLMs / Generative AI
• Voice interfaces / Speech-to-text
• Blockchain / Smart Contracts
• Able to work independently and manage time in a remote setting
• Passionate about building ethical, modern tech that improves how people work

🛠️ Tech Stack OverviewFrontend

We use a modern web stack based on React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Styling is handled through Tailwind CSS and Headless UI. The interface includes real-time interaction through browser APIs, basic data visualisations, and custom form workflows.

Backend

The backend is built with a Python-based asynchronous API framework and PostgreSQL as the main database. We use Redis for background tasks and caching, and the system is structured with a clean REST API that handles users, jobs, applications, interviews, and chat.

AI and Voice

We integrate large language models for conducting AI-driven interviews and analyzing candidate responses. The voice components include transcription, speech synthesis, and real-time dialogue logic built with external APIs and prompt engineering.

Infrastructure

The platform is cloud-hosted, with file storage and interview recordings handled through AWS such as S3. The backend also integrates with external APIs for communication, notifications, and document parsing. The system is designed to support secure, cross-platform access with mobile-first responsiveness and role-based controls.

This tech stack is actively evolving, and you will play a direct role in shaping how it grows.
