About IDSeat
IDSeat is an early-stage sports technology startup building fan engagement experiences inside stadiums. We turn physical seats into digital touchpoints using NFC and QR codes, allowing fans to take part in score predictors, surveys, and live matchday interactions.
We have a working MVP, are soon going to be live with partner clubs, and are now at the stage where we need to rebuild and scale our web-app as we grow. This is an opportunity to join right at the beginning and help shape the technical foundation of the company.
The Role
We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join IDSeat as our first employee, working directly with the Founder.
Our web-app already exists — your role is to take ownership of the tech product and rework the MVP into a more scalable, maintainable platform. The UI and user journeys are defined; the focus is on improving the codebase, backend architecture, data model, and long-term sustainability.
Our current tech stack is React, Typescript, Tailwind and Supabase, however, it can be rewrote into whatever your preference is.
This is a hands-on role combining software development with real-world matchday operations. You’ll occasionally travel to partner clubs with the Founder to help operate and support live deployments.
What you’ll be responsible for
• Owning the IDSeat tech (frontend + backend)
• Reworking the existing MVP into a scalable production-ready platform
• Designing and maintaining a clean, maintainable codebase
• Building and improving backend systems, APIs, and data models
• Ensuring the platform can handle matchday traffic reliably
• Supporting integrations with external sports data providers
• Ensuring the platform is stable on matchday with our partner clubs
What we’re looking for
• 2+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer or developer
• Comfortable working across frontend and backend
• Experience building or scaling web applications
• Solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, and databases
• Enjoys ownership and responsibility in a startup environment
• Interest in sports and live events is a big plus
Working style & location
• Remote, however, based in NL is preferred
• Willingness to travel to partner clubs (including some weekends)
• Close day-to-day collaboration with the Founder
