This is a 7-week, full-time freelance opportunity.
JOB PURPOSE
We’re looking for a freelance Illustrator Animator to support a fast-paced, illustration-focused motion design project for a global tech client. This role centers on bringing existing static illustrations to life through motion, transforming them into polished, net-new video assets for a vendor-facing activation. You’ll work closely with a Design Director and cross-disciplinary partners to interpret creative direction, maintain brand integrity, and deliver high-quality motion assets at scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Animate existing static illustrations into engaging motion and video assets.
- Translate creative direction and storyboards into refined motion outputs.
- Work across a variety of formats and platforms, primarily video and motion-based deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Director, designers, and other creative partners.
- Ensure all work aligns with established brand guidelines and visual systems.
- Maintain consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all assets.
- Manage deadlines effectively in a fast-moving production environment.
- Stay current with motion design trends, tools, and best practices.
- Contribute creative problem-solving and motion ideas where appropriate.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong portfolio showcasing illustration-led motion design.
- Experience animating within established brand guidelines, ideally for tech clients.
- Expert skills in Adobe After Effects and Creative Suite; familiarity with Figma is a plus.
- Solid illustration and graphic design foundation, with an eye for timing, movement, and detail.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work on deadline in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- 3D motion experience (Cinema 4D, Blender)
