The Role
We are looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, who's proactive, organised, and creatively confident. You’ll sit within the brand and content function of the marketing team and play a key role in executing SOWN’s social and influencer strategy.
You’ll work both behind and in front of the camera, helping to create scroll-stopping content, help manage influencer partnerships, and grow an engaged, loyal community across platforms, with a strong focus on TikTok and Instagram. This is freelance position (with potential to extend into a full time permanent role) - we are flexible on how many days per week this role is.
- Execute the US social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest
- Lead day-to-day execution of our social pages
- Plan, script, shoot, and edit social-first content (short-form video, lifestyle content, BTS, stories)
- Write on-brand captions and community-first copy
- Schedule and publish content using social media management tools
- Create content for paid social and TikTok Shop when required
- Stay ahead of platform trends, creators, and cultural moments, bringing new ideas to the table
- Manage community engagement and support a positive, inclusive online presence
- Identify, onboard, and manage influencers, creators, and brand partners
- Help coordinate gifting, briefs, timelines, and tracking
- 1+ years’ experience in social media, content creation, influencer marketing, or digital marketing
- Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram culture, trends, and algorithms
- Confident creating content yourself (filming, editing, posting)
- Hands-on video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe, or similar tools)
- Strong copywriting and communication skills with a clear brand voice
- Experience working with creators, influencers, or talent
- Comfortable being both behind and in front of the camera
- Super creative, proactive and resourceful
- Creative thinker with a strong aesthetic eye and attention to detail
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Trend-aware, socially savvy, and culturally plugged-in
