Barrington James are excited to post a fantastic opportunity for one of our close clients. This company are an exciting MedTech company who are looking for support within their clinical operations team after the summer, with the possibility of extending on long term with the company. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is ambitious, independent and wants to play a key role in a close business.
Responsibilities
- Manages cross functional team including Project Managers for global studies
- Oversee a portfolio or program of projects
- Uses strong budgeting experience to create and manage study budgets
- Uses strategic thinking to improve study processes
- Point of contact and leader for global sites and projects
- Oversight of projects including deliverables from all areas and vendors in accordance with timeline, and sponsor specifications
- Develops systems and procedures for effective project management and clinical operation
- Takes on training responsibilities including supervising, mentoring and motivating team as an active part of the leadership group
- Provide summary of critical analysis of study performance and strategic direction to senior executive committee for all compounds, including ongoing vendor assessments and associated study risks
- Oversee and advise on clinical operations department activities; including study design and protocol development
- Responsible for development of request for proposals, the assessment and selection of CROs/vendors
- Contact point for CRO and other vendor issues
- Form and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and members of study steering committee/scientific advisory boards
- Defines and oversees timelines, milestones and scope of work limitations
- Serves as subject matter expert in quality audits (from internal and external regulatory bodies), as well as in regulatory inspections
- Involved in scenario planning in respect to strategies for development and impact on resources and budgets
- Effectively manage study progress
Required
- 8+ years’ experience in field of clinical research
- 5+ years experience in project management
- Essential Medical Device experience
- Strong experience in budgeting
- Home-based, but open to travelling to office towards the start of the contract
