Freelance AI Designer
We’re looking for a versatile, collaborative designer who specializes in AI-generated art—with a particular focus on Midjourney and prompt engineering—to bring high-level creativity and efficiency to our visual content across print and digital products.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate compelling illustrations using Midjourney and other AI tools (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Runway) that align with creative direction, brand identity, and project needs
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to develop concepts, refine prompts, and deliver polished illustrations with minimal manual revisions
- Combine AI-generated visuals with traditional design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for compositing, enhancement, and final delivery
- Create storyboards, mockups, and iterate based on feedback through multiple revision rounds
- Maintain a sharp eye for visual storytelling, composition, color, and brand consistency
- Proactively contribute to project ownership while thriving in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout all phases of visual development and production
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience as an illustrator or designer working in fast-paced creative environments
- Expertise in Midjourney (v6 or newer), prompt writing, and AI-assisted image workflows
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to creatively guide or enhance AI-generated results
- Comfortable owning both creative ideation and refinement of deliverables
- Must have access to own hardware and relevant software tools
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience creating illustrations for children’s books, educational materials, or character-driven projects
- Familiarity with other generative design tools (Runway, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, etc.)
- Light animation, image upscaling, or video enhancement experience is a plus
