We are currently looking for an experienced AI Data Governance Consultant for a long-term freelance opportunity with an international organization operating in a complex, regulated environment.
This is a remote role within Sweden, offering a 10-month contract with strong potential for extension.
Your Role
You will play a key role in strengthening and operationalizing AI and data governance frameworks across the organization. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and practical execution.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with legal, IT, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure governance structures are embedded effectively and aligned with regulatory requirements.
Required Experience
- Hands-on experience in Data Governance and AI Governance
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and AI ethics
- Practical experience implementing the EU Data Act and EU AI Act
- Ability to work cross-functionally and translate governance strategy into operational execution
- Experience working in large, international organizations with complex governance structures
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Data Mesh or Federated Governance models
- Experience in training, change management, and adoption initiatives
