AI-Native Learning Systems | Full-Time
We are hiring a Founding Head of Product for a specially funded stealth-stage project at the intersection of artificial intelligence, education, human capability, and next-generation assessment systems.
This is not a traditional product management role. This is a high-ownership position for someone who can take an ambitious, complex system and compress it into a real, usable, testable product at extreme speed.
We are building an AI-native learning and capability platform designed to help define, develop, and measure the kinds of human abilities that remain valuable in an AI-driven world. The product involves AI agents, learner progression, capability assessment, structured feedback loops, certification logic, and real-world user engagement.
You will serve as the critical bridge between vision, product architecture, engineering execution, user experience, and business deployment. Your job is to identify the true critical path, cut everything else, and bring the system to life.
If you have built products from 0 to 1, know how to move fast without losing product clarity, and want to shape a category-defining AI platform from the earliest stage, this role is for you.
- Translate a complex AI-native learning and capability system into a runnable MVP
- Identify the shortest path from concept to real user testing
- Reduce abstract strategy into concrete product flows, screens, tools, and user actions
- Define what must exist now, what can wait, and what should be permanently cut
- Move the product from simulation, mockups, and documents into real-world usage
- Lead feature-cutting decisions with discipline and confidence
- Cut non-core features aggressively while protecting the essential user experience
- Prevent the team from falling into over-design, excessive abstraction, or ineffective perfectionism
- Continuously clarify the core product loop
- Make difficult product tradeoffs under uncertainty
- Design and refine user flows across onboarding, learning, assessment, feedback, and progression
- Identify friction points, process breakpoints, and unclear user actions quickly
- Turn complex backend logic into simple, intuitive user-facing experiences
- Ensure the product feels alive, usable, and coherent to real users
- Build the bridge between system intelligence and human experience
- Drive a rapid 0-to-1 product rhythm
- Ship visible product improvements weekly
- Turn user feedback into concrete product changes
- Work closely with engineering to prioritize implementation
- Maintain momentum without allowing speed to degrade judgment or quality
- Serve as the final assembly layer between product vision and implementation
- Work directly with executive leadership, engineering, AI, and operations teams
- Translate strategic decisions into buildable product requirements
- Ensure engineering effort is aligned with the actual product path
- Build lightweight product processes that increase speed rather than bureaucracy
Strong candidates typically have:
0-to-1 Product Building Experience- Experience independently building or leading a product from zero to launch
- Strong track record of turning ambiguous ideas into usable products
- Comfort operating before product-market fit
- Experience in pre–Series A, seed-stage, or founder-led environments
- Ability to work without a fully defined roadmap, org chart, or mature process
- Exceptional ability to distinguish essential features from distractions
- Comfort cutting 80–90% of proposed features to preserve the critical path
- Strong judgment under incomplete information
- Ability to make fast product decisions and own the consequences
- Low tolerance for unnecessary complexity
- Strong sensitivity to user experience, user friction, and behavioral loops
- Ability to see where a process breaks before users fully articulate it
- Experience designing product flows for complex systems
- Ability to simplify technical, educational, or operational complexity into clear user actions
- Strong understanding of how product structure shapes user behavior
- Comfort working closely with engineers
- Ability to write clear technical product requirements
- Strong understanding of modern AI-enabled product development
- Ability to prototype directly is a strong plus
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate product design, prototyping, or implementation
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Bias toward shipping
- High ownership and low ego
- Comfort with ambiguity, speed, and changing priorities
- Desire to build real systems, not just decks, specs, or theoretical frameworks
- Ability to operate with urgency while maintaining high standards
- Experience as a founding product lead or early product hire
- Experience as a founder, technical founder, or product-minded builder
- Background in AI products, education technology, assessment platforms, workflow tools, or marketplaces
- Experience building products involving AI agents, personalization, scoring, ranking, or certification
- Experience with Replit, Lovable, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI-native prototyping tools
- Experience launching MVPs in days or weeks, not months
- Experience working directly with CEOs, founders, or highly strategic product leaders
- Track record of building products that reached real users, revenue, or measurable adoption
- Experience in product-led growth, user onboarding, retention loops, or marketplace dynamics
- Strong taste in product design and product simplicity
- Build a category-defining AI-native learning and capability platform from the earliest stage
- Work directly with executive leadership and technical teams
- Own the transformation of a complex vision into a real product
- High influence over product direction, user experience, and company execution
- Opportunity to define how human capability is developed and measured in the AI era
- Competitive salary and equity incentives
- Build something with global ambition, not a narrow feature or internal tool
- Location: Silicon Valley, California / Remote-flexible
- Start Date: 2026
- Compensation: Competitive salary + equity incentives
- Compensation determined based on experience and impact
- Full-time role
- Traditional product managers who only manage roadmaps and meetings
- Candidates who need mature processes before they can operate
- Product leaders who prefer long planning cycles over fast shipping
- Candidates uncomfortable cutting features aggressively
- Candidates who are not excited by AI-native learning, assessment, and human capability systems
- Pure UX or research profiles who do not want ownership over execution
- Candidates looking for a narrowly scoped product role inside a large company
