Title: Founding Chief of Staff (Part-Time/Fractional)
Location: Remote (Canada-preferred, open globally)
Compensation: Equity-based compensation with a path to a senior, paid role as the studio scales.

Commitment: 10–25 hours/week (flexible with 1 sync day/week)
Type: Part-time (with potential path to full-time post-funding)
At Nordiqon Venture Studio, we partner with bold immigrant, diaspora, and globally-minded founders to co-create startups at the intersection of frontier technology and broken industries—HR, climate, logistics, fintech, and health tech. We're building a high-conviction, capital-efficient model from Canada to the world. Our goal is to co-build and launch 8–12 venture-scale startups annually.
We’re seeking a Founding Chief of Staff to work directly with the Founder & GP as a strategic operator and execution partner. This is a zero-to-one role to shape the studio's operating rhythm, drive high-leverage outcomes across portfolio, partners, and fund strategy. You’ll help build the plane while we fly it—and have a clear path to future leadership within the studio or one of our startups.
✅ Lead weekly operating cadence across studio goals and portfolio companies
✅ Manage internal systems (Notion, Airtable, CRM, hiring trackers) and maintain visibility for progress
✅ Support hiring of studio team, operators, and interim talent
✅ Assist with founder onboarding, advisor matchmaking, and partner activations
✅ Own investor-facing operational briefs and support fund structuring milestones
✅ Support PortCo oversight (e.g. InterviewHQ, BorderlessHR, NulFootPrints) and help unblock growth
✅ Handle strategic research, decks, and ops projects as needed by the GP
- A former founder or early-stage operator looking for something new
- An ex-VC, MBA, or chief of staff looking for meaningful ownership
- A startup athlete who thrives on ambiguity and wants proximity to LPs, founders, and portfolio execution
- Hungry to co-found a startup or become COO/COO-type in the near future
- Strong communication and documentation habits
- Ability to context-switch between strategy and execution
- Comfort working in a zero-salary stage and belief in building long-term value
- Exposure to startup ecosystems (especially Canada, US, and/or emerging markets)
- Prior CoS, chief operator, or startup lead experience
- Familiarity with venture studios, accelerators, or 0→1 models
- Background in HRtech, B2B SaaS, or marketplace startups
