This is an exclusive search on behalf of a fast-growing AI company ($15 million Series A) working with enterprises that own large proprietary datasets. The company is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as the bridge between its core engineering team and enterprise customers. The successful candidate will design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions in complex, real-world environments, working directly with clients to solve their most pressing data and intelligence challenges.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with enterprise customers to understand business goals, data landscapes, and technical constraints
- Designing and deploying agentic AI applications, integrating the core platform into customer systems and workflows
- Building connectors, pipelines, and custom interfaces so enterprise data flows securely and efficiently into the platform
- Prototyping and delivering new use cases using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and multi-agent orchestration
- Acting as a trusted technical advisor, supporting pilots, integrations, and scaled deployments
- Collaborating with product and engineering teams to shape roadmap priorities based on real customer insights
- Contributing to implementation best practices, documentation, and reusable frameworks to accelerate future customer success
What the Ideal Candidate Looks Like
- 3 to 7 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or applied ML, ideally in a customer-facing or consulting capacity
- Proficient in Python, TypeScript, or a similar language, with experience across APIs, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines
- Comfortable engaging C-suite and senior technical stakeholders
- A strong problem solver who works autonomously and thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments
- Motivated by seeing work deliver immediate, tangible value to enterprise clients
Bonus Experience
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
- Prior experience at an AI, data, or B2B SaaS company, or in a solutions engineering or implementation role
- Familiarity with multimodal content generation and document processing
- Cloud platform experience across AWS, GCP, or Azure, including MLOps tooling
- Experience with API design and integration for AI services
