Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for a Financial Controller located in Nanaimo, BC. The Financial Controller will oversee the development and monitoring of financial strategies, preparation of financial statements, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The candidate will be actively involved in analyzing financial data to provide insights and recommendations, managing budgets, and supporting efficient financial performance in alignment with business goals.


Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
  • Advanced Analytical Skills and proficiency in Finance
  • Proficiency in Accounting systems and principles
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is a plus
  • Experience in a retail or multi-location business environment considered an asset
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools
