About The Role

The Financial Analyst Staff position at Lockheed Martin offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major program within the F-35 Development segment at Lockheed Martin RMS (Rotary and Mission Systems). This role involves providing comprehensive financial analysis and support, with a focus on Earned Value Management (EVM), budget management, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with Program Management, Control Account Managers (CAMs), and Planning teams to establish and maintain accurate budget baselines, ensure realistic Estimates at Complete (EACs) and Estimates to Complete (ETCs), and track funding status. The role requires clear communication of financial metrics to diverse audiences and the ability to present complex data confidently.

Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for creating monthly reports, tracking changes to budgets, and providing financial guidance to support program decision-making. This position also involves mentoring junior finance team members and sharing best practices to foster a collaborative and high-performance environment. The role is based in Orlando, FL, with options for part-time remote work, offering flexibility and a dynamic work environment focused on innovation and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Experience establishing budgets and managing cost baselines
  • Expert-level knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Experience developing Integrated Program Management Reports (IPMRs) and/or Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Reports (IPMDARs)
  • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin systems such as Hyperion, Cobra, SAP, Open Plan, and Winsight
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Prior experience in aerospace or defense industry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed financial analysis and support for the F-35 Development program
  • Establish and maintain accurate budget baselines and track funding status
  • Ensure realistic Estimates at Complete (EACs) and Estimates to Complete (ETCs)
  • Support Earned Value Management activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Create and distribute monthly financial reports and dashboards
  • Track and communicate any changes to the program’s financial baseline
  • Work closely with Program Management, CAMs, and Planning teams to ensure financial alignment
  • Provide financial guidance and support to team members and leadership
  • Mentor and share knowledge with junior finance staff
  • Assist in the development and review of financial metrics and KPIs
  • Participate in program reviews, audits, and compliance activities as needed
