We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Finance Specialist to support day-to-day finance operations across multiple European legal entities. This is a highly operational role where you will take ownership of AP/AR, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while also advising on improvements to make finance processes more efficient and scalable.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, unstructured environments, enjoys working directly with external service providers, and has the skills to guide ERP selection, optimize finance processes, and make the finance function fit for purpose.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute payment runs and follow up on pending items
  • Oversee AP/AR processes including invoice coding, booking follow-up, and cost center accuracy
  • Manage bank reconciliations, recurring invoices, and direct debit charges
  • Serve as main contact for external bookkeeping/shared service teams
  • Support month-end close, accruals, and ensure completeness of financial transactions
  • Maintain financial documentation for audits and compliance
  • Manage corporate credit cards and employee expense reporting
  • Support cost management, including correct use of cost centers and cost units
  • Drive process improvements, financial automation, and train the business on new systems and workflows
  • Provide guidance on finance strategy and ERP systems to enable future scalability


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of finance experience in dynamic, high-growth, or fast-paced environments
  • Experience with outsourced finance functions or working alongside external service providers
  • Strong understanding of AP/AR, payments, accruals, P&L, balance sheets, and month-end processes
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy
  • Strong Excel and ERP system skills; experience with process improvement or ERP implementation a plus
  • Proven ability to advise on finance process improvements and operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills in English; ability to explain finance topics to non-finance stakeholders
  • Independent, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of complex tasks
