Job Description: Financial Accountant (16 hours per week)
Role Overview
This part time Financial Accountant role supports a leading pharmaceutical organisation in strengthening financial operations, eliminating administrative backlog, and driving process excellence across core finance functions. Working 16 hours per week, you will play a key role in stabilising current workflows while contributing to long term optimisation across AP, AR, GL and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial administration clean up — Execute a structured reduction of outstanding financial administration, ensuring backlog items are resolved accurately and documented for audit readiness.
- Process analysis — Review existing finance processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks, providing clear recommendations for improvement.
- Workflow optimisation — Contribute to the standardisation and optimisation of workflows across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and reporting activities.
- Cross site alignment — Support harmonisation of local processes with other Netherlands sites and corporate finance standards, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Process documentation — Produce clear, structured documentation of improved processes and ensure a smooth handover to operational teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Financial accounting expertise within a corporate or regulated environment
- Strong understanding of pharma finance operations (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, streamline, and document finance processes
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently within a part time schedule
