- Watch short film scenes and break them down beat by beat
- Describe camera movement, framing choices, shot composition, and blocking with precision
- Convey mood, pacing, and emotional tone using purely visual language — no dialogue references
- Identify key transitions, visual reveals, and recurring motifs within scenes
- Follow standardized formatting guidelines for beat breakdowns and scene summaries
- Add clarity notes where visual information is ambiguous or open to interpretation
- Maintain consistency and accuracy across a high volume of scene descriptions
Who You Are
- Background in film, directing, cinematography, editing, or formal film education
- Strong ability to analyze and articulate what's happening visually in a scene — without referencing dialogue
- Excellent structured writing skills with a keen eye for detail
- Comfortable re-watching clips multiple times to ensure accuracy
- Experience with script coverage, storyboarding, shot lists, or pre-visualization workflows
- Solid understanding of scene structure, narrative pacing, and visual storytelling fundamentals
- Familiarity with cinematographic terminology (e.g., rack focus, dolly shot, Dutch angle)
- Work on pioneering AI projects with leading research labs
