Position: Set and Exhibit Designer
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $50–$110/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Develop set and exhibit designs by interpreting scripts, research, budgets, and space requirements.
- Produce accurate floor plans, scale drawings, and construction-ready documentation using Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Create layouts and preliminary renderings detailing materials, lighting, and build specifications.
- Adapt designs based on stakeholder feedback, budget constraints, and fabrication needs.
- Collaborate with creative and technical teams to ensure cohesive visual storytelling.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication throughout the design lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD for scenic or exhibit design.
- Strong creative and technical foundation in set or exhibition environments.
- Ability to translate concepts and scripts into practical, buildable designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple design tasks within timelines and constraints.
