SUMMARY

A fiscally sponsored fund (the “Fund”) of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (“EIF” or the “Foundation”), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is seeking an Executive Director. The Fund aims to strengthen communities by servicing and advancing the youth. The Executive Director will be responsible for organizational leadership and management, fundraising and resource management, and strategy and program oversight.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Organizational Leadership & Management

  • Maximize the philanthropic vision of the Fund by providing strategic leadership to guide the Fund's direction, growth, and overall effectiveness.
  • Lead collaboration between the Fund’s principals and advisory board, its fiscal sponsor, grantees, community partners, and vendors.
  • Oversee operations, work plans, budget development, and organizational performance.
  • Strengthen stakeholder relationships and represent the organization in public forums.


Fundraising & Resource Management

  • Lead fundraising strategy, including stewardship of existing funders and cultivation of new prospects across philanthropy, corporate sponsorships, community partners, and aligned initiatives.
  • Solicit major gifts and work alongside the Board to develop actionable fundraising goals and strategies.
  • Oversee the development of grant proposals, reports, and fundraising materials.
  • Ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the Fund.
  • Manage restricted funds in accordance with donor intentions and legally binding agreements.


Strategy & Program Oversight

  • Lead the development and refinement of the Fund's strategic planning efforts, ensuring alignment across all efforts and initiatives.
  • Ensure programmatic initiatives are responsive to the needs of those it serves.
  • Develop and maintain the Fund’s budget, quarterly benchmarks, and long-term impact goals to ensure maximum resource utilization.
  • Work directly with the Fund's fiscal sponsor and a deputized advisory board member on expenditure approvals for new contracts and vendor payments ($15k+) and outgoing grants ($25k+).
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance policies & organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments and administrative staff as needed.
  • Attend departmental and other meetings as required.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Non-profit Management, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Nonprofit, Marketing, and Sports industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and organizational operations.
  • Prior experience working with or reporting to an advisory board is strongly preferred.
  • Business acumen with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Some travel required (10-15%)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Frequent alpha/numeric keyboarding
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Lift and carry boxes up to ten pounds
  • File and retrieve documents


SALARY RANGE: $100k - $115k
