Role Profile: Para Football Executive Committee MemberPurpose of the Role:

To provide strategic leadership, governance, and oversight to drive the global growth of Para Football. The Executive Committee Member will play a pivotal role in advancing the organisation’s mission to promote, regulate, and develop Para Football for persons with disabilities.


Key Responsibilities include:

1. Strategy & Governance:

  • Lead the development and execution of long-term strategic plans to expand Para Football’s impact.
  • Ensure strong governance frameworks, compliance, and ethical standards.

2. Partnerships & Sponsorship:

  • Drive commercial and strategic partnerships to enhance funding, visibility, and sustainability.
  • Support sponsorship strategies to grow revenue and engagement.

3. Decision-Making & Oversight:

  • Participate in Executive Committee meetings, voting on key policies, budgets, and initiatives.
  • Represent the interests of stakeholders (players, federations, sponsors, and partners).

4. Development & Advocacy:

  • Champion initiatives to expand Para Football’s reach, including grassroots programs, competitions, and global partnerships.
  • Advocate for inclusivity, accessibility, and equality in football.

5. Financial Stewardship:

  • Contribute to financial oversight, ensuring sustainable growth and responsible budgeting.

6. Representation:

  • Serve as a global ambassador for Para Football at events, conferences, and media engagements.


Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in strategy, sponsorship, partnerships, and/or governance (sports, nonprofit, or corporate sectors).
  • Leadership experience in sports administration, business development, or nonprofit management.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for disability inclusion and football.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Time Commitment:
  • Regular committee meetings (virtual).
  • Advisory input (~5–10 hours/month).
