Job Summary
Under general direction, the Event Planner Specialist is responsible for plannings and organizing live or virtual meetings and events from conception through to completion, working closely under the direction of their manager. Includes coordination of all logistics (pre, during and post-event), coordination with department leadership on meeting / event objectives and goals, and collaboration with Marketing / third-party vendors to bring everything to life, ensuring a memorable and positive guest experience. Research and maintain relationships with vendors for event support services. Conducts periodic reviews of event success metrics and provides reports to leadership. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work but can generally support complex tasks independently.

Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities
- Plan, design and produce events while managing all project delivery elements within time limits.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify their needs and to ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct market research, gather information and negotiate contracts to maximize budgets.
- Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality.
- Organize and manage all event details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, etc.
- Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.
- Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities.
- Manage event budget and task list, ensuring event is completed within budget and on-time.
- Coordinate with communications to promote and publicize event when appropriate.
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day.
- Coordinate with Manager to Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes.
- Research market, identify event opportunities and generate interest.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

- Associate degree in Event Management, related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) to four (4) years of experience with planning and managing corporate events.
- Pay range $80,000 - $94,000 based on experience, education, skills, and training.
