Federal Sherpa is uniquely positioned to support the Mission Training Complex at Fort Indiantown Gap by delivering strategic program and project management expertise tailored to the Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) and Army National Guard units. Leveraging a team of seasoned professionals—including U.S. Army veterans and former senior government executives—we provide mission-focused solutions that enhance War Fighter Exercises and SRM-aligned training. Location: Onsite – Mission Training Complex, Fort Indiantown Gap, PA
Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as Senior Enlisted Advisor to training audiences during Mission Command Training events, providing mentorship and operational insight
- Support planning and execution of training exercises aligned with the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC), ensuring synchronization across Warfighting Functions
- Facilitate staff development by coaching NCOs and junior leaders on staff processes, battle rhythm, and mission command principles
- Contribute to scenario design and inject realistic operational challenges based on current doctrine and unit mission profiles
- Deliver feedback and assessments during After Action Reviews (AARs), focusing on NCO leadership, staff integration, and decision-making
- Coordinate with DTT Leads and other SMEs to ensure enlisted perspectives are integrated into training objectives and outcomes
- Maintain proficiency in Army Mission Command Systems, including CPOF, JBC-P, and other digital platforms relevant to the training audience
- Ensure doctrinal accuracy and relevance in training content, leveraging experience from Battalion, Brigade, or Division-level assignments
- Possess and maintain appropriate security clearance (Secret or Top Secret depending on assignment level) to access classified materials and systems
- Represent the MCT program professionally in interactions with unit leadership, external agencies, and higher headquarters
- Possess prior Sergeants Major experience at the Battalion level or higher echelon
- Preferred background includes Brigade or Division-level Sergeants Major roles and primary staff NCOIC assignments
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (field of study not specified)
- Be a graduate of the Battle Staff NCO Course
- Successfully completed the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA)
- Division-level ESTs must possess or be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- All other ESTs must possess a Secret clearance
- Provide mentorship, training oversight, and operational guidance to training audiences during mission command exercises
- Support scenario development and execution aligned with Army training doctrine and Warfighting Functions
- Serve as senior enlisted advisors within Digital Training Teams (DTTs), contributing to planning, coordination, and after-action reviews
