Role Overview
We are partnering with a leading AI research lab to build next-generation text-to-speech (TTS) systems capable of producing natural, expressive, and human-like voices.
We are seeking USA-based voice actors with English accents to contribute high-quality voice recordings for training and evaluating cutting-edge speech models. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in voice acting, narration, or broadcasting who can deliver consistent, expressive, and pristine audio across a wide variety of scripts.
Key Responsibilities
- Record high-quality voice samples across diverse scripts, including conversational, narrative, and instructional formats.
- Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech with strict control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation.
- Maintain absolute consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across multiple recording sessions.
- Follow detailed technical recording guidelines regarding acoustic environments, microphone setup, and file formatting.
- Perform multiple takes with distinct variations in emotion, emphasis, and style when required by the engineering team.
- Review and self-QA all recordings to ensure zero background noise, clipping, plosives, or digital artifacts.
- Collaborate directly with project teams to refine delivery based on specific model training needs.
Requirements
- Language & Location: English speaker currently based in the United States.
- Experience: Proven professional experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting.
- Studio Setup: Access to a professional or broadcast-quality home recording setup (e.g., XLR microphone, acoustically treated quiet environment, pop filter, interface).
- Vocal Control: Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range, with the ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining a natural, unforced delivery.
- Availability: Reliable availability for 10–20 hours per week over the duration of the project.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience recording specifically for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets.
- Deep familiarity with audio editing and DAW software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper).
- Ability to convincingly deliver multiple vocal styles (e.g., conversational, corporate, energetic, calm).

Contract and Payment Terms
