Position: Literature Specialist
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $40–$90/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design rigorous literature-based tasks spanning multiple genres, historical periods, and analytical frameworks.
- Edit and evaluate AI-generated responses for interpretive depth, clarity, and alignment with academic standards.
- Create prompt variations based on length, tone, style, and intended audience.
- Identify and document failure cases where AI outputs lack insight, nuance, or accuracy.
- Apply literary expertise to assess reasoning, argumentation, and textual understanding.
- Collaborate asynchronously with peers and researchers using structured feedback and shared documentation.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Literature, English, or a related humanities discipline.
- Professional experience in literary teaching, research, publishing, or related fields.
- Strong familiarity with both canonical and contemporary literary works.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and interpretive analysis skills.
- Ability to evaluate complex reasoning and articulate clear, constructive feedback.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, deliverables-driven environment.
