Accountabilities
- Lead and enable multiple cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality products efficiently.
- Attract, hire, and grow engineering talent, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and high performance.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and regular feedback to help engineers reach their full potential and achieve career goals.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to ensure technical decisions align with short- and long-term product strategy.
- Oversee architecture and technical quality within teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with other engineering leaders to improve engineering practices, accelerate delivery, and introduce capabilities that unlock new product opportunities.
- Support hands-on problem-solving and technical decision-making when required to unblock teams or ensure project success.
- 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including Tech Leads, in high-growth or scaleup environments.
- Strong technical background with experience in React/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI, Postgres, and data pipelines.
- Comfortable working in cloud environments and modern infrastructure (GCP, Cloud Run, Grafana, Kubernetes).
- Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers at all levels.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contributions with strategic leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in cross-functional, distributed teams.
- Product-minded with a track record of driving impact through technology solutions.
- Passion for climate, sustainability, or mission-driven work is highly desirable.
- Experience with geospatial, mapping, or imagery domains is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across GMT/CET/EST time zones.
