Nordic Defence Sector is growing rapidly, with increasing demand for our coverage across the region. For the autumn term 2026, we are expanding our editorial team at NordicDefenceSector.com and are now looking for motivated interns to join us.
We welcome applicants from all Nordic countries and offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in defence journalism within a truly regional context.
This role offers hands-on experience in defence journalism, editorial workflows, and industry engagement – with potential to transition into a part-time position.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is enrolled in a university programme and able to complete an internship as part of their studies
- Has a solid understanding of the defence sector, or a strong interest in developing within the field
- Is comfortable working with clients, public authorities, and media contacts
- Is interested in learning more about the sector.
- Has a strong command of industry terminology and clear, professional communication
- Is detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to meet deadlines
Language requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in at least one Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or Finnish)
- Strong working proficiency in English
Your responsibilities:
- Publish news, analysis, press releases, and interviews
- Maintain ongoing communication with authorities, and partners across the Nordic region
- Ensure all content meets high standards of linguistic and factual accuracy
