Position: Editorial Assistant
Location: Remote
Hours: Flexible, core hours between 8 AM - 4 PM ET
Commitment: 15-25 hours per week

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Editorial Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves working across two key areas: Core duties will consist of supporting The Quantum Insider (TQI) while adding support to Resonance’s other verticals that cover, space and rocket technology, climate tech, artificial intelligence, and digital twin technology. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely, possess excellent writing and editing skills, and have a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input news releases and prepare them for distribution.
- Make minor editorial changes and updates on WordPress.
- Write and rewrite short news stories with editorial direction and AI assistance.
- Create short SEO articles with editorial direction and AI assistance.
- Post updates to social media platforms.
- Learn and perform basic newsletter inputs.
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with WordPress and basic SEO principles.
- Experience with social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- A background in STEM and journalism or communications is welcomed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI writing tools.
- Basic knowledge of newsletter software.
