Role: Economist

We are hiring an Economist for an hourly contract opportunity focused on training and improving AI models that perform economic reasoning and data-driven analysis. This role is perfect for economists who enjoy applying their expertise to innovative, high-impact projects.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with AI teams to train, evaluate, and refine models on economics-related tasks.
- Review outputs involving macroeconomics, microeconomics, finance, and econometrics.
- Provide expert feedback to strengthen accuracy, reasoning quality, and interpretability.
- Help design quantitative experiments to test economic understanding and data analysis skills.
- Join structured collaboration sessions several times a week.
What You Bring
- Advanced degree or strong professional background in Economics, Econometrics, Finance, or related fields.
- Strong grasp of macro/microeconomic theory, modeling, and statistical inference.
- Proficiency with modeling and analysis tools (Python, R, Stata, or MATLAB).
- Experience in forecasting, simulation modeling, or policy evaluation is a plus.
- Excellent analytical communication skills.
- Availability for 20–30 hours per week.
