Job Title: Principal, Disputes Solutions & Strategy

Location: Remote (EST/CST hours preferred)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $60-$67.30/hour

What You'll Do

As the Principal, Disputes Solutions & Strategy, you'll partner with senior leadership to spearhead high-impact initiatives, optimize dispute processes, and drive organizational goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with senior leaders to manage complex, cross-functional projects, driving business transformation and aligning with organizational priorities
  • Innovate Dispute Solutions: Identify and implement cutting-edge approaches to chargeback and dispute processes, leveraging expertise in Mastercard and Visa rules and related tools
  • Drive Process Improvement: Analyze business processes, pinpoint inefficiencies, and recommend actionable solutions through new systems, technologies, or methodologies
  • Synthesize Data for Impact: Develop and analyze key metrics to track progress on short-term and long-term strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with financial goals
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Serve as a liaison across departments, fostering strong relationships to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and outcomes
  • Mitigate Risks: Holistically assess functional risks, proactively addressing compliance and quality concerns to ensure regulatory adherence
  • Influence and Communicate: Engage with executive leadership and stakeholders to deliver meaningful organizational change, using advanced presentation and communication skills

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a strategic leader with a proven track record in financial disputes and organizational transformation. The ideal candidate brings:

  • Experience:
  • 7+ years in a financial institution or consulting role
  • 5+ years of experience in chargeback or dispute resolution processes, with deep knowledge of Mastercard and Visa rules and related tools
  • Demonstrated success in delivering solutions for complex financial initiatives
  • Proven engagement with executive leadership to drive organizational and process change
  • Experience in financial analysis, risk management, or regulatory compliance
  • History of leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders at all levels
  • Skills:
  • Ability to innovate and create new approaches to traditional dispute resolution methods
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to handle complex initiatives
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills to drive collaboration and results
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations
