Position overview
Currie & Brown is looking for a Director to continue our growth within our Pharmaceutical sector in the US. The Director will have overall responsibility for financial, operational, client and people related activity in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Have overall responsibility to establish, grow and have operational management of pharmaceutical clients in the US, providing project management, cost management and advisory services.
- Win work, recruit and manage team members, deliver project work, assume QA responsibility for team outputs, grow the team, identify and secure business and network within the industry promoting Currie & Brown’s services.
- Lead on the production of US pharmaceutical bids including fee proposals and manage the delivery of projects in line with agreed fees to maximize profit.
- Work collaboratively with C&B sister companies to support the growth of C&B services in the US.
- Responsible for optimizing business expansion opportunities ensuring that they meet the required financial targets and returns
- Responsible for reinforcing and leading a cross-selling culture across the Currie & Brown business
- Raise the profile of Currie & Brown within the pharma industry, in a way that aligns to the growth strategy of the organization and promotes new business opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction and/or architecture-related fields
- A minimum of 15 years’ construction project controls or cost management-related experience, including ten years in a managerial role
- Knowledge of facilities engineering, design, construction, contracting and earned value management applied to a diverse portfolio of design and construction projects
- Extensive background in working with construction projects in the pharmaceutical market.
- Professional registration in field of practice preferred
- Strong management, organizational and communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a dedication to developing lasting client partnerships (internally and externally) and to maximizing employee engagement
- Knowledge and experience of executing projects and programs within the planning, engineering, procurement and construction delivery phases
- Proven track record of growth and business management
- Flexibility to work locally and remotely
