The Role
As a Director at RebuttalPR, you’ll be at the helm of multiple high-profile accounts, shaping strategies and leading execution. Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Account Leadership: Independently lead and be accountable for all aspects of client accounts, ensuring high-level strategic guidance and day-to-day execution
- Strategic Counsel: Provide strategic counsel to clients on media relations, reputation management, and public perception, helping them navigate complex communication landscapes.
- Document Review: Act as the final set of eyes on materials before they are shared with the client or sent externally to ensure a high quality of work product
- Customized Client Solutions: Develop customized PR solutions that address the unique challenges and opportunities of each client, leveraging the firm's expertise and industry knowledge
- Crisis Management: Provide expert crisis communication guidance, developing and executing crisis plans
- Thought Leadership: Position the firm and its clients as industry leaders through high-profile media placements and speaking opportunities
- Demonstrate Leadership: Align team and peers around strategic goals; provide clear guidance and direction to team members; give real-time feedback on performance; clearly communicate expectations and updates
- Team Development: Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing proposals and leading pitch meetings
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with:
- Expertise: 5-7 years of experience in PR, journalism, legal communications, or a related field
- Exceptional Skills: Strong writing, research, and strategic thinking abilities
- Leadership: Skills to manage teams and deliver results for multiple accounts
- Media Savvy: Experience working with national and niche outlets
- Adaptability: Ability to navigate complex legal and public opinion landscapes with creativity and tact
