Accountabilities
- Attract, hire, mentor, and develop a team of pre-sales solution engineers, fostering diverse and high-performing talent.
- Lead with a servant-based, player/coach mentality, balancing field responsibilities with team development and career growth.
- Collaborate with regional sales leadership to plan and execute customer programs, marketing initiatives, and community events that drive adoption and expansion.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to key accounts, providing executive sponsorship and thought leadership to ensure customer success.
- Partner with product management and engineering to prioritize roadmap features and influence product strategy based on customer and team feedback.
- Drive enablement programs for internal teams and channel partners, ensuring the team operates efficiently and meets quarterly targets.
- Own regional performance reporting, tracking team and individual outcomes, and optimizing operational and strategic effectiveness.
- 5–10 years of experience in high-tech roles such as Developer, Architect, Sales Engineer/Architect, or Manager, with proven leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success mentoring, developing, and managing high-performing teams over time.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, remote-first or distributed environments.
- Strong background in open-source or cloud-first product sales, ideally within monitoring, observability, or data visualization domains.
- Familiarity with formal sales methodologies and qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDDPICC, Value Selling, COM).
- Ability to own a book of business and direct both personal and team initiatives to consistently exceed targets.
- Bonus: Deep understanding of observability solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Loki.
- Competitive compensation with On-Target Earnings range from CHF 287,000 – CHF 344,600 in Switzerland, plus Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
