This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and scale a high-performing Solutions Engineering team across the EMEA region. The Director will own regional strategy, team development, and customer success initiatives while working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams. You will influence product adoption, drive technical enablement, and ensure customers derive maximum value from solutions through professional services, support, and training. The position demands a combination of strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and the ability to mentor engineers while balancing direct engagement with field responsibilities. Working in a fast-growing, remote-first environment, your decisions will shape both regional and global success. Accountabilities

  • Attract, recruit, and mentor a team of Solution Engineers, fostering growth, high performance, and a diverse culture.
  • Lead with a player-coach approach, balancing field responsibilities with team development and career mentorship.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to plan and execute regional programs, marketing initiatives, and community engagement activities.
  • Provide executive sponsorship and technical thought leadership to key customer accounts in the region.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to ensure customer needs influence roadmap decisions and product adoption.
  • Own quarterly planning and reporting, tracking team performance and regional metrics.
  • Drive enablement programs, including selling with and through channel partners at local, regional, and global levels.
  • Ensure consistent execution of solution demos, technical deep dives, trials, and proof-of-concepts to support customer success.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in the high-tech industry, including roles such as Developer, Architect, Sales Engineer, or Manager.
  • Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, remote-first startup environments.
  • Strong knowledge of open-source or cloud-first product go-to-market strategies.
  • Direct experience with sales methodologies, such as COM, Value Selling, or qualification frameworks like MEDDPICC.
  • Experience selling monitoring, data, or visualization products is preferred.
  • Ability to own a book of business and direct team initiatives to consistently exceed targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Bonus: strong understanding of observability solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Loki.
