Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking an analytical and execution-focused Director of Special Projects / Telehealth to lead the development and national expansion of its telehealth business. This role will work directly with the CEO and board-level stakeholders to evaluate, design, and scale a high-performing, profitable telehealth platform that expands access to care for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions.

Its telehealth division is a proven, high-growth business operating across the country, supporting both step-down care from Banyan facilities and direct admissions.
Position Details
- Reporting To: CEO
- Location: Remote with ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a comprehensive, board-ready business plan to support national telehealth expansion.
- Evaluate multi-state regulatory requirements, reimbursement dynamics across commercial and government payors, and workforce design considerations to define a scalable operating model.
- Translate complex, ambiguous inputs into clear recommendations on investment, sequencing, and growth strategy.
- Transition from strategy to execution, with accountability for implementing the board-approved expansion plan.
- Assume P&L responsibility for the telehealth business unit within 6–9 months.
- Drive measurable outcomes across growth, operational performance, and patient experience.
- Build and refine operating processes that support scale while maintaining clinical quality.
- Partner with clinical, operational, and commercial leaders to align on execution priorities and deliver results.
- Work directly with executive leadership and board stakeholders to provide updates, insights, and decision support.
- Ensure strategies are grounded in frontline realities and executable within a multi-state healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- Track record of high performance at a top-tier consulting firm
- 2+ years of experience outside of consulting in an industry setting
- Healthcare services experience strongly preferred, particularly within multi-state or regulated environments
