Viskase is transforming and we’re rebuilding our global procurement function to be more strategic, specialized, and future-focused. We’re looking for a Director of Procurement to lead this evolution.
In this high impact role, you’ll own the strategy for global material management, supply continuity, and cost reduction across our global plants. You’ll lead corporate and plant-level teams, manage strategic suppliers, negotiate global contracts, and drive measurable cost savings while ensuring seamless material flow.
Overview of Key Responsibilities
- Lead global material management and ensure supply continuity across all plants
- Oversee strategic supplier relationships and corporate contract management
- Drive major cost-reduction initiatives, sourcing strategies, and supplier consolidations
- Align corporate and plant procurement teams and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Establish KPIs, report performance to senior leadership, and drive continuous improvement
- Redesign and build the new procurement structure to support our transformation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or certifications preferred
- Extensive procurement/supply chain leadership experience in global manufacturing
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract expertise
- ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/Ariba) and advanced Excel skills
- Track record of delivering cost savings and improving supply performance
- Strong leadership and team development experience
