We’re seeking a visionary beauty educator to reimagine and lead the global strategy, creative direction, and execution of all professional education and events. As Director of Education & Events – Professional Channel, you will be equal parts storyteller, strategist, and experience architect—bringing Living Proof’s brand and science to life in ways that disrupt the status quo and energize the professional salon community.
This role is not about building traditional curriculum. It’s about shaping a bold, brand-led point of view—creating immersive, tech-forward learning experiences designed for today’s fast-moving, digitally native stylist. Think AI-personalized learning paths, mobile-first micro content, and TikTok-speed engagement—all optimized to inspire while driving sell-through.
Reporting to the VP of Sales & Trade Marketing for Salon, International, and New Business Development, you’ll lead a high-impact team of educators and event pros. You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Development, Marketing, and Creative to ensure education not only connects emotionally—but converts commercially.
You’ll also collaborate closely with the Director of Retail Education & Events to unify messaging, maximize resources, and deliver best-in-class omni-channel education to partners worldwide. What You’ll Do
Lead Education Strategy for the Professional Channel
- Own the global education strategy across salons, distributors, and stylist communities in North America and international markets.
- Develop a bold, differentiated point of view for Living Proof’s pro education—one that is brand-first, science-backed, and modern in format and tone.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product to ensure education strategy drives commercial performance and supports go-to-market success.
- Collaborate with distributor partners to program and execute high-impact, results-focused education and event initiatives.
- Design immersive, tech-forward programs optimized for the busy salon professional—mobile-first, video-rich, and built for modern attention spans.
- Leverage AI-enabled personalization and modular content to meet stylists where they are in skill, style, and schedule.
- Own the creative direction of education—from concept to content to delivery—ensuring storytelling, visuals, and experience all reflect Living Proof’s edge.
- Develop a robust digital platform and printed assets that amplify education, drive usage, and elevate brand perception.
- Build and scale a North American and international education team, including freelance contractors, with a clear structure and purpose.
- Recruit and mentor high-performing educators and event leads capable of inspiring and executing at scale.
- Establish strong training, assessment, and development processes to elevate education talent globally.
- Create scalable 'train-the-trainer' programs to ensure consistent excellence and brand alignment.
- Oversee execution of all professional events—from education tours to large-scale stage productions.
- Conceptualize and direct theatrical, high-impact stage experiences that engage audiences and elevate the brand.
- Partner with creative vendors, guest artists, and producers to bring stories to life with energy and artistry.
- Ensure every event reinforces the commercial goals and premium image of Living Proof.
- Define KPIs that directly tie education efforts to sell-through, stylist engagement, and P&L impact.
- Use data to continuously optimize education content, tools, and team performance.
- Track results and iterate quickly—using both creative instinct and commercial insight to scale success.
- Act as the professional voice in a cross-functional ecosystem—ensuring product, brand, and field strategies align.
- Collaborate with the Retail Education team to share content, tools, and tech across channels and partners.
- Ensure global education reflects consistency while empowering regional creativity and relevance.
- Licensed cosmetologist with professional, behind-the-chair experience required.
- 10+ years in professional beauty education, with deep knowledge of the salon channel and global markets.
- 5+ years leading education strategy, creative direction, and execution for high-growth brands.
- Proven ability to create modern, tech-forward education experiences that are impactful and scalable.
- Strong commercial acumen—able to link education to sell-through and bottom-line results.
- Track record of producing standout stage experiences and collaborating with creative talent.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills—on stage, on camera, and on deck.
- Experience managing large-scale programs, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Passion for mentorship, innovation, and elevating the pro community.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America and internationally.
