We’re partnering with them to find a forward thinking, people first Director of Human Resources & People Operations to shape the future of their North American workforce.


🌟 THE ROLE: LEAD, SHAPE & INSPIRE

Reporting to the North American SVP of HR, with a dotted line to the SVP, HR Talent & Culture for Canada, you’ll lead a high-performing team of HR Business Partners across Canada and the U.S. You will shape and execute the HRBP strategy in alignment with Mitsubishi’s business goals, focusing on succession planning, talent & performance management, recruiting & onboarding, and change leadership. As a key liaison to senior leaders, you’ll ensure seamless collaboration and strategic support across all regions and functions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and mentor a team of six HR Business Partners, delivering end-to-end HR support: talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, succession planning, and change leadership.
  • Design and implement HRBP processes across Canada and the U.S., ensuring programs are aligned with regional business objectives and cultural nuances.
  • Advise senior leaders on workforce planning, succession strategies, and organizational development to drive engagement and growth.
  • Partner with compensation and benefits teams to craft competitive total-rewards packages and advise on market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian federal/provincial and U.S. labor laws and regulations, leading policy updates and cross-functional rollouts.
  • Leverage ADP Workforce Now (and other HRIS tools) plus data analytics to track key HR metrics, report insights, and continuously improve processes.
  • Champion and implement HR programs that align with Mitsubishi’s mission, values, and long-term business strategy.


🌟 WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Full professional fluency in English and French
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related business discipline; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Deep HR expertise across talent management, employee relations, succession planning, and organizational development
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and U.S. labor legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change, resolve conflict, and build high performing teams
  • Strong business acumen, translating financial and operational data into strategic people solutions
  • Exceptional relationship management skills; trusted advisor to executives and employees alike
  • Sharp analytical skills, using metrics and feedback to inform strategic decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication capabilities
  • Global and cultural awareness, with experience supporting diverse, geographically dispersed teams

💰 COMPENSATION: $145K - $155K USD; based on experience. This role is also eligible for a 20% year-end bonus.
