The Director of Operations will lead the development and optimization of the firm’s operational infrastructure, ensuring scalable systems that support rapid growth while maintaining an exceptional client experience. This role oversees onboarding processes, standardized workflows, KPI reporting, and continuous process improvement across the organization. Partnering closely with advisors, operations staff, and leadership, the Director will drive efficiency, implement technology solutions, and build a high-performing operational framework. What You’ll Do
· Create real-time dashboards and build dynamic reports from existing Excel data to drive decision-making.
· Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that scale with the business and support consistent client service, evolve daily procedures, keep the website current, improve lead times, and drive operational efficiencies.
· Write job descriptions for every position in the company and help define clear roles, responsibilities, performance metrics, and expectations.
· Lead critical projects with best-in-class project-management skills, ensuring alignment with growth targets, deadlines, and business priorities.
· Partner with advisors and leadership to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and improve operational efficiency while creating buy-in from the team.
· Translate data and workflows into actionable insights and scalable systems that support both client services and business growth.
Qualifications Required:
· Strong proficiency in Excel and CRM management. Tech savvy.
· 5+ years of experience in operations within wealth management or financial services, with demonstrated project management, operations, or business-process design experience. Experience with Northwestern Mutual systems or environments is preferred.
· Ability to translate data into actionable insights and build best-in-class, scalable, repeatable systems.
· Familiarity with financial-planning language and workflows (e.g., client and team onboarding, plan implementation, KPIs, process reviews).
· Experience working with advisors, client-service teams, or operational centers in a high-growth environment.
Base Salary: $90,000-$100,000 plus bonuses. Commensurate with proven experience.
