The Opportunity

We are an ambitious Swiss ophthalmology start-up developing innovative technologies that have the potential to transform eye care and improve patient outcomes globally. Having reached a critical stage in our commercial and clinical development, we are seeking an exceptional fundraising professional to lead and execute a significant capital raise of CHF 6–8 million within an accelerated timeframe.

This is not a traditional fundraising role. We are looking for an individual who has successfully delivered multiple investment rounds for MedTech or Life Sciences businesses and can independently manage the entire fundraising lifecycle—from investor strategy through to signed agreements and funds received.You will become an integral member of the executive leadership team, working directly with the founders and Board to secure the capital required to accelerate regulatory milestones, commercial expansion and international growth.This position is offered on an immediate, success-based remuneration structure, making it ideally suited to a highly motivated fundraising specialist confident in their ability to deliver results.

The Role

You will take complete ownership of the fundraising process and be responsible for designing, leading and executing an institutional-quality investment campaign.


Responsibilities will include

Developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting a raise of CHF/EUR 6–8 million. Identifying and engaging suitable investors including


  • Venture Capital funds
  • Family Offices
  • Strategic healthcare investors
  • MedTech-focused investment firms
  • Private Equity (where appropriate)
  • High Net Worth Individuals
  • Corporate strategic partners
  • Leveraging your existing investor network to generate qualified introductions quickly
  • Preparing and refining all investment documentation including
  • Investment Memorandum
  • Executive Summary
  • Investor Presentation
  • Financial Model
  • Data Room
  • Due Diligence documentation
  • Term Sheet support
  • Managing the complete investor pipeline from first introduction through to final close
  • Coordinating investor meetings, presentations and follow-up communications
  • Leading commercial negotiations with investors alongside the executive team.
  • Managing legal advisors, financial advisors and other external stakeholders throughout the transaction.
  • Driving due diligence processes to completion.
  • Supporting valuation discussions and investment structuring
  • Negotiating investment terms that maximise shareholder value while securing funding efficiently.
  • Managing transaction timelines to achieve an accelerated fundraising process
  • Delivering a successful close and ensuring capital is received

About

This role requires a proven operator—not someone looking to learn fundraising for the first ti

me.You will have demonstrated success in raising institutional capital within healthcare, biotechnology or medical technology businesses.

Essential experience includes

A strong track record of raising £5 million+ / CHF 6 million+ investment rounds.

Experience raising capital specifically for:

  • Medical Devices
  • Ophthalmology
  • Diagnostics

  • Healthcare Technology
  • Extensive relationships with venture capital firms, family offices and strategic healthcare investors
  • End-to-end fundraising experience including
  • Investor targeting
  • Financial storytelling

  • Legal documentation
  • Closing transactions
  • Strong understanding of venture financing structures including:
  • Equity investments
  • Convertible instruments
  • SAFE agreements

  • Ability to move quickly without compromising quality or investor confidence


We're Particularly Interested In Candidates Who Have:


  • Raised investment for ophthalmology or ophthalmic device companies.
  • Successfully completed Series A or Series B investment rounds
  • Existing relationships with European healthcare investors
  • Experience raising capital in Switzerland, the UK, Germany or wider Europe
  • Worked with regulated medical device companies
  • Familiarity with CE Mark, FDA pathways or clinical-stage MedTech businesses.
  • Experience coordinating international investor syndicates

Remuneration

This role is offered on a success-based compensation model, with terms to be agreed based on experience and the scale of the fundraising achieved.

The successful candidate will have confidence in their ability to deliver measurable outcomes and will be rewarded accordingly.
