Role Overview
Rho Nutrition is seeking an experienced Director of E-Commerce to own and scale performance across our Shopify DTC business. This role owns the end-to-end site experience, with a primary focus on UX, UI, and conversion rate optimization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Shopify operator and the company’s internal expert in UX, UI, and CRO. This person will be responsible for how the site is structured, designed, and optimized to convert, with direct ownership over landing pages, PDPs, PLPs, and all key merchandising moments. They will continuously identify opportunities, execute improvements, and refine the customer journey to drive conversion, AOV, and LTV.
This role will oversee the e-commerce team while remaining highly involved in execution. The Director of E-Commerce is expected to operate in the details, lead by example, and take full ownership of site performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end Shopify site experience, including merchandising, UX, UI, and CRO strategy and execution
• Serve as the internal expert on UX, UI, and conversion rate optimization, setting the standard for how the site is designed and built
• Lead the planning, development, and optimization of landing pages, PDPs, PLPs, and on-site product launch experiences
• Continuously improve conversion rate, average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (LTV) through stronger site experience and merchandising strategy
• Develop and execute merchandising strategies that improve product discovery, upsell, bundling, and on-site conversion
• Analyze site behavior and performance using Google Analytics and other tools to identify opportunities for optimization
• Partner closely with CRM and retention teams to ensure alignment between on-site experience and lifecycle marketing
• Collaborate with growth teams to build and optimize landing pages that convert traffic from paid, affiliate, and partner channels
• Manage and develop the e-commerce team, including direct oversight of execution and site updates
• Establish clear priorities, timelines, and quality standards for all site-related work
• Take ownership of site performance, identifying issues and driving solutions through to completion
• Maintain a high standard for design, user experience, and brand presentation across all pages
• Continuously test and refine layouts, messaging, and product presentation to improve performance
Required Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, with a strong focus on Shopify DTC businesses
• Proven experience managing Shopify for a high-growth DTC/CPG brand
• Deep proficiency in Shopify, Klaviyo, and Google Analytics
• Strong expertise in UX, UI, and conversion rate optimization, with a track record of improving site performance
• Hands-on experience building or directly contributing to landing pages, PDPs, and PLPs
• Strong understanding of conversion-focused design, user behavior, and customer journey optimization
• Experience working in CPG; experience in supplements, wellness, or natural and organic products is strongly preferred
• Experience managing and developing team members while maintaining hands-on ownership of execution
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Highly organized and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability with the ability to drive projects to completion

Compensation
Estimated salary range: ~$125-140K, depending on experience.
