Job Summary

The Director of Corporate Communications leads HBX Group’s global external communications and industry relations strategy, shaping a clear, credible, and compelling narrative that strengthens our reputation, visibility, and influence worldwide.


This role sits at the intersection of corporate strategy, innovation, commercial growth, and investor confidence, with a strong focus on technology and AI leadership. Partnering closely with senior leadership, the role elevates HBX Group’s corporate profile, builds trusted media and industry relationships, and provides expert guidance on reputation, issues, and crisis communications.


By strengthening HBX Group’s presence across travel, trade, technology, and financial audiences, this role plays a critical part in supporting sustainable growth and long‑term trust.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead HBX Group’s global external communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and consistent execution across regions
  • Develop and execute a high‑impact media and press strategy, positioning HBX Group and its brands with key audiences including clients, partners, investors, and industry stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global, regional, and trade media, as well as industry influencers
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on corporate positioning, messaging, and reputation management
  • Lead crisis and issues communications, providing calm, clear, and timely guidance in sensitive or high‑risk situations
  • Ensure disciplined and consistent messaging across financial, strategic, regulatory, and reputational moments
  • Strengthen executive and leadership visibility through media engagement, thought leadership, and speaking opportunities
  • Oversee and evolve external and corporate social media strategies to enhance brand influence and credibility
  • Use research, insights, and performance data to shape, evaluate, and continuously improve communications outcomes
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing communications team, fostering collaboration and excellence


Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships with senior leaders and external stakeholders
  • Strategic, creative thinker with strong judgement and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Self‑driven leader with accountability for delivering high‑quality outcomes
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in complex or ambiguous situations
  • High emotional intelligence and resilience, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and deep audience awareness
  • Solid understanding of external communications best practices in complex, global organisations
  • Adaptable mindset, comfortable operating in fast‑changing environments
  • 8+ years’ experience in global corporate communications, PR, and/or marketing, ideally within a B2B, technology‑led environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading global media relations and PR strategies with measurable impact
  • Strong track record in external corporate and executive social media strategy
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in dynamic, high‑growth contexts
  • Proven credibility and influence with senior leadership and external partners
  • Hands‑on experience using data and insights to inform communications strategy
  • Strong project management skills with a structured, outcome‑oriented approach
  • Demonstrable experience managing crisis and high‑risk communications
  • Experience mentoring and developing communications teams
  • Advanced English is required
