Scipio Holding is a global investment group specializing in the Search Fund model — acquiring and growing profitable SMEs worldwide. As we scale our investment platform, we are building the technological infrastructure to support every stage of our investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and evaluation to portfolio management.
We are looking for a Director of AI Investment Operations to lead this effort.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the technological infrastructure that powers Scipio's investment activities. This means owning the tools, workflows, and AI-driven systems that support our team across the full investment cycle — pipeline management, deal evaluation, investment execution, and post-acquisition portfolio oversight.
This is a hands-on, builder role. You will not be managing a large team or inheriting an existing system. You will be architecting it. And in doing so, you will work directly alongside experienced investors — learning how they think, what they look for, how they protect capital on the downside, and how they manage through the inevitable ups and downs of a portfolio.
What You Will Do
- Design and build AI-powered workflows to support deal sourcing, screening, and evaluation
- Develop and maintain MCP servers and tool integrations that connect our data, communications, and investment processes
- Build and iterate on internal tools and automations that make the investment team more effective
- Own the end-to-end technology stack supporting investment operations
- Work closely with Scipio's partners to understand operational needs and translate them into practical solutions
What We Are Looking For
- A self-taught technologist with strong hands-on experience across web and application technologies
- Demonstrated experience building AI infrastructure — including AI agents, tool/skill development, MCP servers, and AI-based workflows
- Curiosity and genuine interest in the world of investment and financial markets
- Ability to work autonomously in a small, high-performance team
- A builder mindset — you figure things out, you ship, and you iterate
Prior experience in finance or investment is not required. What matters is your ability to apply technology creatively and rigorously to complex, high-stakes problems.
