About the Opportunity:
The organization is a leader in fraud prevention and AML compliance, using device intelligence, behavior biometrics, machine learning, and AI to stop fraud before it happens. Its platform is used by over 300 banks, retailers, and fintechs worldwide to prevent identity fraud, payment fraud, account takeovers, and social engineering scams. The DevOps Engineer role is critical for evolving infrastructure and platform tooling to support a growing engineering team, focusing on deployment, observability, and developer productivity.
Responsibilities:
• Own and evolve DevOps and platform engineering functions including build and deployment pipelines, monitoring, infrastructure as code, and cost optimization.
• Design and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines supporting rapid product iterations.
• Improve system observability using Datadog, GCP, and custom dashboards.
• Implement and maintain FinOps governance with showback and chargeback models.
• Enhance developer productivity by creating internal tooling, reusable modules, and simplifying infrastructure.
• Help teams define and measure SLOs to set standards for system health and reliability.
• Serve as a FinOps thought leader, collaborating on cost-effective architectural patterns.
• Shape engineering culture, DevOps best practices, and long-term DevOps roadmap.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product engineering, security, finance, and other teams to align technical spending with business and financial goals.
Requirements:
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering roles, preferably in high-growth startup environments.
• Proficiency in Python or Go with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Proven ownership of production infrastructure and platform tooling with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience designing and implementing secure, robust infrastructure compliant with stringent regulatory requirements.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with GCP (preferred) or other major cloud providers, focused on cloud cost management and anomaly detection.
• Hands-on experience with FinOps tooling like Kubecost or CloudHealth, or building custom cost allocation tools.
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines and internal developer tooling from the ground up.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus or Datadog and participation in on-call rotations.
• Experience with FedRAMP certification is a plus.
