About Early

Early is an exciting, award-winning, marketing, brand and creative agency that helps ambitious B2B & B2C brands think smarter, create braver and get to market earlier.

We’re ambitious and hungry for success, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a positive attitude.

We work closely with our portfolio of amazing clients as strategic & creative partners (not order-takers) combining clear thinking, strong ideas and high-quality creative and campaign execution.

And following several big wins, we’re growing fast, and now looking for a talented designer wanting to take the next step in their career into a brilliant creative team, to help write the next chapter of both our stories.

We pride ourselves on creating a friendly, supportive, rewarding environment with great energy and opportunity for all. We foster a flexible culture that recognises personal needs and interests and gives everyone room for personal and professional growth. We’re proud that our team stay with us - average length of service is in excess of 5 years, with some of our superstars having been with us for more than 7.

Although this is a remote position, we talk to each other throughout the day, and get together for drinks and fun nights out.

The Role

This is a hands-on design role for someone who loves the craft and enjoys working closely in a team of bright people who love what they do.

You’ll be designing across brand, marketing and campaign work, from concept through to delivery, helping shape bold, effective creative that actually works in the real world.

You’ll be trusted with responsibility, appreciated for your talent and expected to care deeply about the quality of what we put into the world.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Involvement in briefs from brainstorming as part of a team through to delivery.
  • Designing across a wide range of projects including brand identity, brand development, advertising & social media campaigns, web and digital assets, presentations, events, video and marketing collateral.
  • Translating thinking into clear, engaging and effective creative.
  • Developing and evolving brand systems and visual languages.
  • Working collaboratively with copywriters and account leads.
  • Presenting ideas and design work clearly and confidently, internally and to clients.
  • Managing your own workload across multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Maintaining high creative standards while working efficiently and pragmatically.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a creative agency or similar environment. Happy to consider freelancers looking to go full time.
  • A strong, well-rounded portfolio showing conceptual thinking and high-quality execution
  • Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential). Some basic video and animation skills also a bonus.
  • Strong layout, typography and visual storytelling skills.
  • Experience designing for both digital and print.
  • A good understanding of branding and marketing communications
  • Confidence to contribute ideas, challenge thinking and push work to be better.
  • Organised, reliable and comfortable juggling multiple projects.
  • Calm under pressure, with a solutions-focused mindset.

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

  • Experience working with B2B & B2C brands.
  • Basic motion, animation or video experience.
  • Web or UI design experience (e.g. Figma, Webflow, WordPress).
  • An interest in how design drives commercial results.

What You’ll Get

  • Salary of £32k–£45k, depending on experience.
  • A genuinely collaborative, supportive team and a lovely company to work for.
  • Exposure to great briefs and meaningful projects.
  • Variety of work across sectors and disciplines.
  • The chance to shape work, not just execute it.
  • Flexible working and a grown-up, entrepreneurial culture built on trust.
  • Benefits including: pension, 27 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays and Xmas/New Year shutdown, Birthday day-off, training and development allowance.

Why Early

At Early, designers aren’t stuck at the end of the process. Creative is the heartbeat of the agency, it’s key to everything we do. You’ll be involved early (naturally), supported to ‘think smart, create brave’, and trusted to do your best work. We care about ideas, people and outcomes - and we’re building an agency with strong values, world-class work and a culture we’re really proud of.
