Responsibilities
- Designing components using CATIA V5, with focus on surface design.
- Assisting in creating engineering assemblies – from hardware to bond models.
- Helping to design molds, masters, and tooling for production (you’ll get involved in the process end to end).
- Working through the development phase, supporting everything from prototypes to full-scale production.
- Collaborating with the CAE team to improve and optimise designs.
- Supporting senior engineers with their projects and picking up new skills along the way.
- Attending client meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
- Joining internal team meetings to track progress and plan the next steps.
- Helping to manage and maintain technical documentation for the projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in design engineering, ideally with exposure to composites or related industries.
- Great knowledge in CATIA V5 and experience working with CAD/CAE tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
- Some experience in designing for manufacturing (if you’ve worked with molds, tooling, or fixtures, that’s a big plus).
- Someone who enjoys working in a team but can also handle projects independently.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Passionate about technology and eager to learn about advanced composite materials.
